Who this covers
These terms govern your use of www.thediaspora.app, the The Diaspora App mobile apps, and any related services (collectively, "the Service"). You are bound by these terms whether you are a member browsing businesses or a seller listing one.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older.
- You must provide accurate information at signup. If anything changes, update it.
- Keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. No automated account creation.
Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following:
- Post false, misleading, or impersonating content.
- List a business you don't own or control.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy our directory.
- Reverse-engineer the app or attempt to bypass security controls.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy.
- Use the app to facilitate illegal activity.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
Seller listings
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing — name, hours, prices, photos.
- You must own the rights to any photos you upload, or have explicit permission.
- Listings claiming to be "verified" are subject to manual review by our moderation team.
- We may edit your listing for clarity, length, or visual fit. Material changes will be reviewed with you.
- We may remove listings that violate these terms or local law.
Paid placements
- Paid placements are billed in advance, weekly or monthly, in your local currency where supported.
- Refunds are pro-rated if we fail to deliver the placement (technical fault on our side).
- We reserve editorial discretion — we may decline a placement if the photography or copy doesn't meet our standard.
- Performance metrics in your dashboard are reported on best-effort basis; minor variance is normal.
Reviews and ratings
- Reviews must reflect a real, first-hand experience.
- We may remove reviews that are fake, off-topic, abusive, or violate someone's privacy.
- Sellers may flag reviews for our moderation team — we don't remove reviews simply because they are negative.
- Sellers may not pay, incentivize, or coerce customers to leave (or remove) reviews.
Intellectual property
- The Service, brand, logos, and design are owned by NDN Analytics.
- You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, descriptions). By uploading you grant us a worldwide license to display it within the Service.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant any specific listing, transaction, or outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts, except where local consumer-protection law mandates otherwise.
Changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the new terms.
