1. What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and (optionally) avatar, location, and phone. When you list a business we additionally collect business details, photos, WhatsApp number, and category metadata. When you use the app we log standard usage analytics (device, browser, pages visited, anonymized IP).

2. How we use it

• To run your account, listings, and reviews.
• To improve the product (aggregated, anonymized analytics).
• To send transactional messages (verification, replies, receipts).
• To send marketing only if you have opted in — and you can opt out at any time.

3. What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never share your contact details with third-party advertisers.
• We never insert ourselves between you and a business — direct WhatsApp contact is yours.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use first-party cookies for authentication and a small set of analytics cookies (Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics) to understand product usage in aggregate. See our Cookie policy.

5. Your rights

• Access — request a copy of your data.
• Correct — fix anything inaccurate.
• Delete — close your account and have your data removed.
• Object — to specific processing, including marketing.

6. Where we store data

The Diaspora App runs on Firebase (Google Cloud). Data is stored in regional Firestore and Cloud Storage instances. We rely on Google's enterprise security posture for storage, transit, and access control.

7. Children

The Diaspora App is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, please email us.

8. Changes

If we materially change how we use your data, we will notify you in-app and via email before the change takes effect.
