Who we are
The Diaspora App ("we", "us", "our") is operated by NDN Analytics, registered in the United Arab Emirates. Our HQ is in Dubai. When you use our website or apps you are providing data to NDN Analytics as the data controller.
What we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone (if you choose OTP), city. Provided by you at signup.
- Profile data — for sellers: business name, category, photos, hours, WhatsApp number, location.
- Usage data — pages visited, taps on listings, searches you run, city you browse from. Used to improve discovery and surface relevant placements.
- Device data — browser, OS, IP address (truncated for storage), referrer URL.
- Communications — when you message support or reply to a placement, we keep that record for service quality.
We do not collect payment card numbers — paid placements are handled by Stripe, which holds your card data under PCI DSS Level 1.
How we use it
- To run the app — show you businesses near you, let you sign in, contact sellers.
- To personalize discovery — surface businesses by city, category, and prior browsing.
- To detect fraud and abuse.
- To send service emails (account, security, placement confirmations). Marketing emails are opt-in only.
- For aggregated, de-identified analytics — never sold, never shared with advertisers.
Who we share with
- Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, authentication, database, analytics. Data is processed under Google's standard contractual clauses.
- Stripe — payments for paid placements. Card data goes directly to Stripe; we never touch it.
- Law enforcement — only when legally required and only with valid process. We will notify you unless prohibited by law.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers for retargeting outside our app.
How long we keep it
- Account data — for as long as your account exists. 30 days after deletion request, fully purged.
- Logs and analytics — 13 months, then aggregated and de-identified.
- Financial records — 7 years (legal requirement in most jurisdictions).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, PIPEDA in Canada, CCPA in California, PDPL in the UAE), you have rights to:
- Access — request a copy of your data.
- Correct — fix anything inaccurate.
- Delete — close your account and erase your data.
- Portability — export your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object — opt out of analytics or marketing.
Exercise any of these by emailing nkefua@ndnanalytics.com from your account email. We respond within 30 days.
Delete your account & data
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. You have two options:
- Delete your whole account — removes your profile, any business listings you own, your reviews, the photos, videos, audio and documents you uploaded, and your activity history.
- Delete specific data only — for example particular reviews, photos, videos, documents or activity history, without closing your account.
To make a request, email nkefua@ndnanalytics.com (or uncledez8@gmail.com) from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Delete my account" or "Delete my data", and tell us what you'd like removed.
What happens next: we verify the request and delete the data within 30 days. What we may keep: a minimal record needed to meet legal, tax, fraud‑prevention or security obligations (for example, financial/transaction records kept for up to 7 years where required by law), retained only for as long as the law requires and then deleted.
Children
The Diaspora App is for users 16 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Changes
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and at the top of this page at least 30 days before they take effect.
